Candidate Profile

Knowledge, Skills, and Training

Essential Qualifications

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualifications in MPPM/DipHc in Clinical Physiology.
  • Professional expertise gained through a degree, supplemented by postgraduate training and relevant experience.
  • Membership in the appropriate Professional Body / RCCP registration.
  • BSE accreditation.
  • Completion of ASCST parts 1 and 2.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Understanding of the Trust Strategy relevant to this role.

Job-Specific Experience

Essential Experience

  • A minimum of 18 months of clinical experience post-registration (excluding training).
  • Documented evidence of advanced training and competence in specialized investigations.
  • Ability to accurately record and interpret ECG results.
  • Capability to perform, analyze, and generate clinical reports for various cardiac monitoring durations.
  • Lead role in exercise tolerance testing.
  • Conduct echocardiograms to BSE standards and prepare clinical reports for Consultant Cardiologists.

Managerial/Supervisory Experience

Essential Experience

  • Experience in providing clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Experience in designing and delivering training programs.

Information Technology Skills

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in using electronic patient/service user record systems.
