Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at Gi Group in Cheltenham. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating equipment and machinery across our site, assisting and supporting skilled machine setters in day-to-day production, and performing tool changes and adjustments when needed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate equipment and machinery across the site.
  • Assist and support skilled machine setters in day-to-day production.
  • Perform tool changes and adjustments when needed.
  • Apply lean manufacturing skills, including 5S and TPM.
  • Communicate and work with other operational departments.
  • Quality conscious and work safely and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a mechanical background is preferred, but not essential.
  • Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
  • Any previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
