Job Title: School Finance Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Finance Assistant to join our team at Love Success Recruitment. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial, accounting, and administrative services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain financial procedures and systems of the school.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in ensuring robust financial accounting and ordering systems are in place.
  • Process financial transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring VAT is correctly accounted for.
  • Support the management of the school accounting function, ensuring its efficient operation to agreed procedures.
  • Assist with finance procurement function, providing support and training to colleagues with obtaining quotes and approving orders.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and staff expenses accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Assist with finance income function, following up on outstanding monies due to the school.
  • Maintain internal control procedures and ensure accounting standards are met.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and update the finance system accordingly.
  • Support with maintaining the school fixed asset register.

Requirements:

  • Experience of using PS Financials and SIMS is preferred.
  • Enhanced DBS is essential.
  • Salary: £15 per hour.
  • Duration: Temporary booking up to 8 weeks.
  • Start Date: Immediate start, full-time contract.
