The Role of Community Engagement Specialist at B&M Care Homes is to significantly improve residents' quality of life through a dynamic lifestyle program that encourages meaningful engagement within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the needs, preferences, and aspirations of residents through personalized profiles, life histories, care plans, observations, and direct conversations, ensuring a person-centered approach.
  • Adapt to the diverse needs of residents and service delivery throughout the facility.
  • Design and oversee a weekly activity schedule for the home, collaborating with care staff and other team members, including during weekends and evenings.
  • Ensure that all necessary plans and resources are available for staff to implement in your absence.
  • Integrate all elements of the B&M Care Engagement and Activities Framework into program planning.
  • Identify individuals who may feel isolated and develop tailored, person-centered programs for them.
  • Communicate and display weekly schedules and notices, utilizing technology for creating informative materials.
