About the Role: An esteemed global player in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector is seeking a Financial Business Analyst to enhance their finance team. This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility while contributing to a thriving organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely, insightful, and proactive financial analysis to support the strategic decision-making processes of the business unit.
  • Collaborate effectively to ensure that comprehensive, accurate, and relevant financial insights are provided, enabling the business to capitalize on commercial and supply chain opportunities.
  • Oversee the management of new business cost assessments across multiple business units.
  • Act as a business partner to department heads and their teams, offering guidance on pricing strategies, promotional initiatives, and product profitability, while providing insights into the complete lifecycle analysis of asset management to optimize service costs.
  • Assist the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager in delivering insights and commentary on financial performance to the unit's leadership.
  • Manage the approval process for standard cost updates, ensuring the maintenance of Standard Costs in the relevant financial systems for all business units.
  • Support the FP&A Manager and Finance Manager with asset audits across the units.
  • Serve as a liaison among various departments regarding overhead expenditures for all product categories, ensuring timely accruals and prepayments are accurately reflected in financial statements.
  • Clearly articulate the business and financial factors driving key variances and collaborate with departmental budget holders to develop corrective actions that ensure financial targets are met.
  • Act as the Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the financial management system.
  • Contribute to global financial transformation initiatives as required.
  • Foster a culture of financial awareness and empowerment among non-financial staff.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring a robust control environment is maintained.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of finance experience within the FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, or retail sectors, with a focus on standard costing.
  • Part-qualified or finalist status in CIMA/ACCA is preferred.
  • Experience in pricing and cost management within the FMCG or manufacturing industries is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships across all organizational levels, including interaction with external shared service centers.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with an understanding of the implications of inaccurate master data.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel (including VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, and pivot tables).
  • Familiarity with SAP4/HANA or Microsoft D365 is advantageous.
