Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Commissioning Manager to join our team at g2 Recruitment for an exciting contract opportunity. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in mechanical engineering and a proven track record in commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and finalize quality assurance (QA) for piping and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical support during construction to ensure mechanical completion and timely project delivery.
  • Conduct regular visits to the fabrication shop to monitor progress and address any quality control issues.
  • Perform quality control inspections on-site during construction to ensure that all mechanical systems meet the required specifications.
  • Verify the accuracy of progress reports and provide feedback to the project team.
  • Conduct pre-commissioning tests on installed pressure vessels, storage tanks, and piping, including boilers with TUV certification.
  • Register piping systems and manage QA to ensure seamless integration with natural gas and steam lines.
  • Offer technical assistance to designers and contractors to resolve any queries or concerns.
  • Contribute to studies assessing the importance of spare parts and develop strategies for optimal inventory management.
  • Review documents from designers and installation contractors for client approval and ensure that all mechanical systems meet the required specifications.
  • Oversee the pre-commissioning and cleaning of piping after construction is completed to ensure a safe and efficient handover to the operations team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mechanical commissioning with a strong background in piping and equipment.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems and industry standards.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with designers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in quality control procedures and documentation.
