Field-Based Mechanical Engineer - Competitive Salary - Facilities Management - Full-Time

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer seeking a new opportunity? A fantastic position has opened up with a well-established facilities management provider.

CBW Staffing Solutions is actively searching for a Field-Based Mechanical Engineer to oversee planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse range of commercial properties.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of servicing, repairing, and installing heating systems along with plumbing tasks in various commercial environments.

This role is perfect for a Mechanical Engineer currently in a similar capacity who is eager for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain mechanical systems including pumps, motors, seals, and bearings.
  • Perform plumbing tasks such as unblocking toilets and replacing fixtures.
  • Oversee BMS systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Execute all aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Maintain and update maintenance logbooks.
  • Work within planned preventative and reactive maintenance schedules.
  • Install and replace hot water cylinders, pipework, and boilers.
  • Conduct temperature checks and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Manage priorities effectively within contract constraints.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve objectives.
  • Participate in standby rota for emergency situations outside regular hours.
  • Provide input for pricing on minor projects and maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Experience with central heating, water heaters, pipework, and HVAC systems.
  • Electrical knowledge is essential.
  • Must hold a full clean driving license.
