Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Scrub Practitioner, your duties will encompass:

  • Providing safe, high-quality care for patients during their perioperative phase.
  • Leading and supervising a team, while coordinating staff training and resources.
  • Assisting in the management and organization of care delivery within the Operating Department.
  • Contributing to initiatives aimed at quality improvement.
  • Enhancing the skills and knowledge of yourself and your colleagues.
  • Promoting and applying best evidence-based practices.

Ideal Candidate:
The perfect candidate for the Lead Scrub Practitioner role should possess:

  • Registered Practitioner status with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in coordination, ordering, and mentoring.
  • Surgical First Assistant certification is desirable.
  • ILS and Mentorship qualification.
  • Experience in ENT, Orthopaedic, General surgery, and Neuro preferred.
