Driver Attendant Opportunity

Cheshire West and Chester Council is seeking a skilled Driver Attendant to join our high-performing Passenger Fleet Transport Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional driving services to transport children and vulnerable adults to school and day centers around the Borough.
  • Operate mini-bus/passenger type vehicles, ensuring high standards of safety and customer care.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver excellent services, adhering to operational requirements and Council values.
Requirements:
  • Excellent driving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, adapting to varying working hours and operational demands.
  • Full driving license, with a category D license.
  • MIDAS qualification (training can be offered).
  • Experience in customer care, preferably working with vulnerable people or in a school or healthcare setting.
  • Clean UK driving license.
  • Experience operating a tail lift and associated safety equipment for wheelchair access in vehicles.
