Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Later Living Officer to join our team. As a key member of our support services, you will provide high-quality support to service users, empowering them to plan, work towards, and achieve their outcomes.

You will work effectively individually and as part of a team to achieve service outcomes, actively contributing to the development and smooth running of the service in accordance with local policies and legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive support to service users, empowering them to plan, work towards, and achieve their outcomes.
  • Work flexibly to deliver a tenure blind, wholesome people and place offer for residents in Housing for older people and specialist housing, ensuring the needs of the wider community are met.
  • Manage complex casework, including safeguarding, domestic abuse, mental health, older people support, hoarding, property condition, mediation, dispute resolution, antisocial behaviour, alcohol, and substance misuse.
  • Provide property management functions, meeting all health and safety and fire safety requirements, and carrying out regular inspections of dwellings.
  • Work effectively to deliver high-quality services provided in respect of Later Living schemes and specialist housing, and provide effective out-of-hours emergency cover as required.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with elderly and vulnerable people is essential.
  • Strong customer focus is essential.
  • A good standard of general education is essential.
  • Housing-related qualification or willingness to undertake professional on-the-job training is desirable.
