Job Title: Associate Civil Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Civil Engineer to join our team at ASSYSTEM. As a key member of our Civils Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production and monitoring of civil engineering activities for building construction on the nuclear island.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, analyze, and verify the consistency of input data.
  • Produce deliverables, including assumption notes, technical specifications, and calculation notes.
  • Coordinate the work of CAD Designers with the Design Office Manager.
  • Perform design activities for fastenings in concrete.
  • Perform technical verifications of civil engineering documents for their building.
  • Create and maintain the Design Risk Register.
  • Responsible for anchorage design activities.

Requirements:

  • Civil Design office experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations.
  • Experience in the nuclear sector and plant layout engineering is advantageous but not essential.
  • Knowledge/understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering, especially knowledge of the design of fastenings in concrete.
  • Knowledge of the design of reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete structures.
  • Ability to deal with design and layout constraints.

Software Skills:

  • Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Navisworks.
  • Mathcad.
  • Verifplantine.

Additional Information:

Due to the nature of the work, applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
