Associate Director (Civil Engineering - Infrastructure)

Salary: Up to £68,000 plus flexible benefits

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to lead a vibrant team based in Bristol. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Engineer with the ability to grow the existing infrastructure design capabilities. The successful candidate will oversee significant projects from conceptual planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of engineers and mentor junior members
  2. Develop and implement business strategies to enhance and grow the team
  3. Oversee significant projects, including highway design and specification, detailed drainage and attenuation design, and chairing client and consultation project meetings
  4. Manage client needs and expectations
  5. Check the work of others and provide guidance and support

Requirements:

  1. Chartered Engineer (MICE) with a degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
  2. Strong business development capability and experience of working across a broad range of clients, local authorities, and private land developers
  3. Ability to lead teams and mentor junior engineers
  4. Substantial experience in consultation, negotiations, and meetings with third-party authorities
