Job Summary

Ventro Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Fire Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a Fire Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting fire compliance surveys across various sites, focusing on fire doors and ensuring that all relevant safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Fire Compliance Surveys: Survey existing buildings to determine their condition, identify defects, and propose repairs to meet relevant safety standards.
  • Complete Surveys within Set Timescales: Conduct surveys within the allotted timeframe, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and recorded.
  • Assess and Record Defects: Accurately assess and record defects, providing clear remedial notes for the sales team.
  • Carry out Health Check Inspections: Conduct health check inspections, asset labeling, and write up reports as required.
  • Survey Installations: Conduct surveys of installations as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Healthcheck Manager: Work closely with the Healthcheck Manager, Operations Support Team, and communicate effectively with the office.
  • Report Daily: Report to the Healthcheck Manager on a daily basis.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer technical support regarding properties.
  • Assist the Project Manager: Utilize knowledge of buildings to assist the Project Manager.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Fire Safety Regulations: Possess knowledge of current fire safety regulations.
  • Technical Competence: Demonstrate technical knowledge and competence.
  • Logical and Practical Mind: Possess a logical and practical mind.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Good IT Skills: Demonstrate good IT skills and competence in MS Excel and Word.
  • Ability to Read Construction Drawings: Be able to read and understand construction drawings.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Possess the ability to analyze problems to identify solutions.
  • Driving License: Hold a driving license.
  • FDIS Certification: Ideally hold FDIS certification.
