The primary role of the Project Engineering Specialist is to manage the technical components of assigned projects, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints and in accordance with specified requirements, while upholding the highest standards of Health and Safety throughout the project lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe position necessitates the management of technical projects that require extensive collaboration across various departments within DPS Group. Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing personnel, budgets, and project planning to align with project expectations and mitigate any Health & Safety, Financial, or Technical risks.
- Acting as the primary liaison for clients throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations effectively.
- Interpreting the needs and limitations of all stakeholders to facilitate successful project delivery.
- Spending considerable time on-site to oversee multiple projects as necessary.
- Setting exemplary standards of leadership in promoting Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) procedures, ensuring compliance with DPS Group protocols and legal requirements.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in maintaining our Integrated Management System, including ISO certifications.
- Work closely with vendors and various DPS Group departments, such as Automation Process Control, Manufacturing, Installation, and Commissioning, to ensure project completion meets expectations.
- Manage project financials, ensuring all departments operate within budgetary limits.
- Foster positive relationships with a diverse range of clients, serving as the primary contact for technical and implementation aspects of projects.
- Develop technical specifications and Health and Safety documentation for subcontracted work, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Create and manage project plans using project management software, collaborating with clients and department managers to keep plans updated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Generate and submit project-related documentation promptly throughout the project duration.
- Engage in continuous personal development through available training channels.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or near misses to the HSEQ Manager or Project Manager immediately.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in delivering Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) projects.
- A track record of delivering projects to a high standard.
- A commitment to solving manufacturing challenges through innovative technology.
