We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthopaedic Nurse Specialist to join our team at the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our elective orthopaedic services.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Organize and manage time and resources to deliver nursing care, ensuring efficient use of equipment and personnel.
- Perform relevant clinical procedures within the parameters of the Trust's policies and procedures.
- Liaise with nursing and medical colleagues, as well as other disciplines, to ensure continuity of patient care and report back to the nurse in charge.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Recent experience in an acute care setting, with evidence of delivering high-quality patient care and improving the patient experience.
- Leadership potential, with experience of influencing practice change and developing others.
- Knowledge of the principles of research and its application to nursing practice, as well as the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, adapt to change, and recognize the changing needs of patients.
