Position Overview:
The Senior Officer for Compliance and Quality Assurance will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to Ofsted regulations as outlined in The Supported Accommodation Regulation 2023. This position involves actively monitoring and enhancing the quality standards of accommodations for children and young individuals through systematic quality assurance assessments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying that all supported accommodation providers are registered with Ofsted, in alignment with the aforementioned regulations. This role is vital in maintaining the highest standards of service delivery concerning care support and health & safety within the residences where children are placed, ensuring compliance with Ofsted's minimum quality benchmarks.
The post holder will significantly contribute to the stability of placements for children under our care, ensuring that all compliance documentation and policies from accommodation providers are collected, reviewed, and securely maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the regulation of accommodation providers to guarantee compliance with both local and national standards and legislation.
2. Develop and implement regulatory frameworks and procedures to monitor provider performance and adherence to established guidelines.
3. Lead the quality assurance initiatives for all accommodation providers by establishing and maintaining a robust quality assurance system, with timely reviews.
4. Ensure that all accommodation providers comply with health and safety regulations.
5. Play a key role in promoting placement stability for children in our care.
Essential Experience:
1. Comprehensive understanding of the operational framework of social care, including relevant legislation and national guidance.
2. Significant experience in a regulatory or quality assurance capacity within children's services.
3. Familiarity with National Minimum Standards for Children’s Social Care Knowledge and Skills requirements and their practical implications.
4. Extensive experience in regulatory or quality assurance roles within children's services or statutory commissioning.
Essential Qualifications:
A minimum of an undergraduate degree related to the field is required.
Additional Information:
Working hours: 35 hours per week.
A DBS Enhanced check is mandatory for this position.
