Project Overview

Luxoft is seeking a highly skilled Apprentice Highways Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for delivering large-scale and complex IT projects and programmes.


Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be allocated across a number of projects within the portfolio and will be required to work with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing the project on a day-to-day basis
  2. Attendance and presentation to periodic project health checks with PMO
  3. Working with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
  4. Managing various third-party suppliers that are contracted to deliver the whole or part of the project
  5. Adherence to the IT Delivery Lifecycle and IT Governance
  6. Ensuring artefacts and deliverables as agreed at the start of the project via the PMO Deliverables Matrix are managed throughout the project
  7. Financial Management of the project and periodic reporting

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a significant proven track record in leading and delivering successful, large-scale and complex IT projects and programmes. They will also have significant experience in driving and delivering through others using commercial contracts, as well as proven experience in supplier management and delivering with commercial acumen.


Skills

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  1. Significant experience in project management principles, methods, techniques, tools and emerging trends
  2. Formal Programme/Project Management qualification (e.g. APM/P – Certified Project Manager, Managing Successful Programmes, and Prince 2 or equivalent)
  3. Strong leadership skills, influencing skills and ability to motivate and inspire confidence in others
  4. High levels of flexibility, adaptability and broad thinking
  5. Knowledge and experience of a range of delivery/ development life cycles, e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Iterative
  6. Strong financial management skills including quality forecasting
  7. Stakeholder management and excellent written and verbal communication

Language and Seniority

The role requires English language proficiency at C2 level and regular seniority.
