Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Courier Delivery Specialist to join our team at VPG. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering samples to clients in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Transportation
    • Drive in a safe and professional manner to maintain the reputation of VPG.
    • Adhere to collection times agreed with clients and the laboratory.
    • Ensure all samples are properly sealed and counted, accurately completing log sheets as required.
    • Maintain samples at the correct temperature during transit and upon return to the laboratory.
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Inspect vehicle daily and report any defects on the log sheet.
    • Keep vehicle clean and tidy, reporting any defects to the Courier Manager.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Comply with all VPG policies and complete annual mandatory training.
    • Observe safety regulations and attend mandatory fire, manual handling, and other courses as required.
    • Report all incidents and adverse events to managers and assist in investigations.
    • Maintain and operate equipment according to SOPs, and inform managers and the quality department of any errors or updates.
  • Performance Metrics
    • Transport samples within agreed turnaround times.
    • Maintain vehicles to the highest standard.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Valid UK Driving Licence.
    • Previous experience in commercial driving.
    • Ability to communicate professionally and courteously at all times.
    • Ability to share and exchange information with others.
    • Ability to show initiative and work independently without supervision.
    • UK Right to Work.
  • Attributes and Skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
