Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Location: Walthamstow

Rate: £450 p/d (Inside IR35/Umbrella) DOE

Duration: 12 months+

Sector: Clean Water

A leading Water/Wastewater contractor is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to support large capital delivery schemes on behalf of Thames Water. The successful candidate will be attached to projects involving pipework fabrication, welding, and inspection.

The role requires supervising workers and subcontractors, as well as being accountable for the successful management of large mechanical packages of work. Key responsibilities include reviewing RAMs, managing contractor progress, supporting Site and Project Managers, and ensuring quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and approve RAMs
  2. Manage contractor progress and performance
  3. Support Site and Project Managers in all elements working towards key deliverables
  4. Ensure quality assurance and compliance
  5. Manage permits and approvals
  6. Support delivery efforts and team collaboration

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience within the water/wastewater or Energy sectors for another contractor in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 capacity. A strong understanding of P&ID's and GA drawings for pipeline snagging works is essential.
