Specialist Nurse Children in Care Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Nurse Children in Care to join our team at Livewell Southwest. As a key member of our Children in Care Nursing team, you will play a vital role in improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people in care and care leavers.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake comprehensive statutory review health assessments for children aged 6 months to 18 years, using a trauma-informed approach.
- Compile and implement holistic health plans, working in partnership with social workers, foster carers, and other professionals.
- Provide health interventions as required, including health promotion advice and support.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure children and young people receive the best possible care.
- Develop and deliver training on factors affecting the health and wellbeing of children in care to a range of professionals.
- Qualified to diploma/degree level as a Registered General Nurse, Registered Children's Nurse, or Registered Mental Health Nurse.
- Level 3 training in Safeguarding Children.
- Experience of working in the community, including with children or young people with complex emotional needs.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
