We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team at the North London Forensic Service. As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to service users in our low secure in-patient pathway.

Main Duties
  • Provide consultant leadership to the team in the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the development of the service and its policies.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide emergency cover as required.
Person Specification
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Listed on the Specialist Register of the GMC Medical Register or eligible to register within six months.
  • CCT in Forensic Psychiatry.
  • Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent qualifications/certification.
  • To be approved under Section 12 (2) of the 1983 Mental Health Act, the 2007 amendments and any successor legislation.
  • Experience of working in mental health in prison settings.
  • Publications in the field of Psychiatry.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to work with different cultural backgrounds and beliefs.
