Role Overview:
The primary objective of this position is to deliver impartial and thorough credit risk assessment, oversight, and portfolio management. This role is essential for KION Group in achieving its goals by applying a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate the operational and credit risks associated with clients.
What We Provide:
Utilize personal sanctioning authority with diligence, ensuring that documentation and risk reports clearly articulate the level of risk involved in extending credit, accompanied by concise and rational recommendations for credit decisions. Prepare documentation for transactions that necessitate higher authority approval. Collaborate effectively with Sales, Collections, and Operations to foster profitable growth. Adhere to AML and KYC policies, controls, and all compliance requirements. Responsible for monitoring high-risk accounts and supporting the collections team in asset management, collections, and recovery efforts. Assist the AML reporting officer with all regulatory reporting obligations. Provide backup and support as necessary to other teams across the organization. Serve as a subject matter expert, offering guidance to colleagues.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
· Previously held lending authority in asset finance or commercial banking environments.
· Experience in leasing, preferably within materials handling or similar asset classes.
· Ideally possess technical knowledge in the field of Credit.
· Strong operational awareness of risk, processes, and procedures.
· Ability to cultivate strong relationships to enhance cross-functional collaboration between sales, relationship teams, and back-office operations.
· The role requires an independent thinker who can influence at all levels within the organization.
· Comprehensive understanding of the legal, financial, and operational dimensions of Asset Finance and Structured Products.
· Skills in influencing senior management, attention to detail, account interpretation, credit analysis, and relationship building at all levels, along with coaching and mentoring capabilities.
