About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Evolve Housing + Support in Croydon. As a key member of our supported housing service, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to vulnerable young people aged 16-22.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to empower customers to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and external partners to ensure seamless support and referrals.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and risk management plans to ensure customer safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a comprehensive support service, including crisis intervention and advocacy.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as safeguarding, mental health, and homelessness.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in a related field, such as social work, youth work, or mental health support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, as well as relevant legislation and guidelines.
