Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Preston secondary school. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for implementing lesson plans and ensuring the smooth running of classes in the absence of the regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement lesson plans and deliver engaging lessons to students
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Support students with their learning and provide individualized attention when needed
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and other staff members to ensure a seamless transition of lessons
  • Contribute to the development of a positive school culture and community
Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in a relevant subject (preferably a core GCSE subject)
  • DBS Enhanced Disclosure
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
