Job Title: Early Years Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Bright Horizons Acorns Day Nursery and Preschool in Sunbury-on-Thames.

About the Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for planning, creating, and implementing engaging activities for children aged 0-5 years, promoting their development and well-being. You will work closely with colleagues to maintain a positive and safe environment, and develop strong relationships with parents and carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality educational programs for children, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and well-being.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and healthy environment, adhering to safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the nursery, including meal times, sleep times, and activities.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early years education.
Requirements
  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or preschool setting.
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for children.
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children.
