Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Child Maintenance Service as a Team Leader for the Advice and Guidance Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on child maintenance policy and procedures to our operational colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership and management to the Advice and Guidance Team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality advice and guidance to our customers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including operational colleagues, policy teams, and external partners, to ensure that our advice and guidance is aligned with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and address gaps in our advice and guidance, and to develop new policies and procedures to support our customers.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on our advice and guidance to ensure that it meets the required standards.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in child maintenance policy and procedures, and ensure that our advice and guidance is aligned with these changes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of child maintenance policy and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues.
