Job Title: Track Systems Team Leader

Colas Rail UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Track Systems Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising work groups, ensuring the safety and quality of our track systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety integrity of all activities undertaken by the staff under your supervision.
  • Coordinate and manage the allocation of labour resources to projects, both internal and external, to deliver required skills and maintain team utilisation on or above target.
  • Assist the supervisor in planning and overseeing projects, working alongside technical staff to ensure timely completion and compliance with relevant specifications and standards.
  • Deliver daily task briefings and maintain physical signed records for audit purposes.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure works are carried out safely and to the correct standard.
  • Populate redline drawings and ITP checks as work is completed.
  • Make recommendations for career planning and development of site labour resources.
Person Specification:
  • Hold PTS, COSS track safety competencies or equivalent.
  • Proven experience of team leadership and influencing staff.
  • Previous experience of Track & Systems installation and construction activities, ideally for urban systems (Tramways, LRT).
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Ability to record and compile redline drawings and ITP documentation.
  • Understanding of other related rail disciplines and interface management.
