Job Title: Part-time Casual Catering Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Part-time Casual Catering Assistant to join our team at an established College in Oxford City Centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work as part of the Hall team to provide exceptional levels of service to our customers, including Fellows, students, staff, and conference delegates. The role will involve working a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, to ensure the smooth operation of our catering services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages in the Hall
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive image of the College
  • Work collaboratively with the Duty Chef and other team members to ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen and servery
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and servery areas
  • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and utensils
  • Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the catering services
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role or in a customer-facing environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge
