Job Title: Composite Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Composite Project Engineer to join our team at a family-run business with a strong presence in the composites industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a series of new and existing customers to provide high-quality composite parts, ensuring a sustainable level of profit for the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Take ownership of commercial responsibilities, including estimating and account management.
  • Work closely with customers to establish clear project requirements and ensure delivery of high-quality composite parts.
  • Develop and maintain Engineering Management plans, including estimates for schedule and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to ensure best practices and maintain full knowledge of relevant technical and quality areas.
  • Manage component manufacture through the factory, working with external suppliers as necessary.
  • Coordinate part manufacture on the shop-floor with production supervisors.
  • Assist with operating and maintaining shop-floor equipment, such as Autoclaves and ovens.
  • Negotiate variations to contract/job and ensure the accounts department is kept up to date with invoicing and WIP.
  • Experience with designing in Siemens NX or Solidworks is highly beneficial.
  • Occasional UK and overseas travel may be required.
Requirements:
  • Degree-level education in Engineering.
  • Experience with composite and GRP materials and manufacturing.
