Job Summary:

North East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in South East Essex. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will work in partnership with schools to support children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based individual and group interventions in educational settings
  • Work with children, young people, and their families to support the self-management of mental health difficulties
  • Collaborate with education colleagues to develop whole school approaches to improve mental health outcomes
  • Conduct robust assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and reviews
  • Use Routine Outcome Measures (ROMS) and clinical tools to gather feedback and guide clinical practice
  • Work alongside other Mental Health Practitioners and Senior Mental Health Practitioners to support learning and development

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or Children Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP)
  • Experience in delivering interventions to support children and young people in primary, secondary, and higher education settings
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using clinical tools and Routine Outcome Measures (ROMS)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
