About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Children and Young People's Nurse Lead to join our team at Appoint Healthcare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical and managerial leadership to our Children and Young People's Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the health and well-being needs of children and young people within the department
  • Ensure effective care is provided by the team
  • Provide excellent clinical and managerial leadership and support
  • Undertake Human Resource activities for all members of the team
  • Train, develop and support the team
  • Develop strategies for policies for service improvement
  • Create a culture that actively improves the health and safety and safeguards the welfare of children
Requirements
  • Registered Children's Nurse with no restrictions on NMC pin
  • EPALS/PALS essential
  • Child Protection Level 3 essential
  • At least 3 years experience working in a similar setting
  • Experience working in outpatients and pre-assessment
  • Experience working as a practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience leading a team
