Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

St. Peter's School is a vibrant learning community that values its students and staff. We are seeking a dedicated SEN teaching assistant to join our team and contribute to our mission of "Unlock Potential – Celebrate Success".

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to support students with special educational needs.
  • Demonstrate high expectations for achievement and behavior to help students reach their full potential.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to ensure a supportive learning environment.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, including adapting materials and resources as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system for students with SEN.
Requirements:
  • Commitment to the Christian ethos of the school.
  • Organizational skills and ability to work across the school.
  • High expectations for students' work and behavior.
  • Secure understanding of the primary National Curriculum.
  • Relevant experience working with primary-aged pupils.
