Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive, innovative, and results-oriented compliance professional to take on the role of Regulatory Compliance Manager for the UK and EU within our Global Standards division. This position is crucial for developing comprehensive policies that align Regulatory Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Sanctions compliance with our business objectives, thereby supporting Amazon's payment solutions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate, implement, and sustain global policies along with local adaptations (such as addendums, exemptions, and non-applicability) in line with the Global Standards Management Framework.
  • Collaborate closely with regional Compliance Offices and Shared Services teams (including Risk, Assurance, and Governance) to ensure policy requirements are integrated into first-line operations and training materials.
  • Oversee local policy execution and manage any deviations through breach management, partnering with local Risk teams to mitigate our risk exposure.
  • Act as a representative of the Global Standards team in local forums, including Board/Committees, and liaise with the Head of Compliance for the UK and EU.
  • Provide in-country expertise on local regulations to assist with various tasks, including policy formulation, advisory services, regulatory mapping, and gap assessments.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience in compliance program management, legal affairs, governance, audit, risk management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective partnerships with both internal and external teams to execute strategic initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in research and investigative skills or a related area.
