About the Role

As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a key role in leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions. This challenging yet rewarding role requires a qualified Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with a passion for developing clinical skills in an ever-changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, and attend emergency response situations
  • Assess patients' health needs using evidence-based frameworks and risk assess using sound clinical knowledge
  • Ensure physical and mental health assessments are conducted on admission and throughout custody
  • Make clinical judgments regarding immediate needs and long-term treatment
