About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in North Derbyshire. As a key member of our Early Intervention and Targeted Support Service, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our teams and embedding our services within defined education settings and communities.

As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will provide support and clinical supervision to Mental Health Practitioners and Emotional Wellbeing Practitioners, and deliver evidence-based, therapy-informed interventions to Children and Young People (CYP) across Derby and Derbyshire. You will utilise your skills and knowledge of psychological therapies, such as Low Intensity CBT, to support CYP with moderate mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision and support to Mental Health Practitioners and Emotional Wellbeing Practitioners
  • Deliver evidence-based, therapy-informed interventions to CYP with moderate mental health difficulties
  • Support the development of our teams and embed our services within defined education settings and communities
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to provide a comprehensive service to CYP and their families

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate experience working with children and young people
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice of CBT and clinical supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
