**Job Summary**

Taylor & Francis Group, a leading academic publishing and business intelligence company, is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Editor to join our Content Acquisition Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for commissioning high-quality article submissions across a broad scope of Taylor & Francis journals, covering various subject areas including Science, Technology, Medicine, Social Sciences, and Humanities.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of academic fields and growth areas to identify opportunities for article submissions.
  • Develop and implement structured commissioning plans to engage with researchers and build relationships with the research community.
  • Commission high-quality, relevant content for a range of titles across our journal portfolio, meeting specified timeframes.
  • Build strong networks with researchers, presenting at conferences, and engaging in discussions to encourage submissions to Taylor & Francis journals.
  • Liaise closely with editors, authors, and partners to ensure delivery of the content pipeline.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of our Editorial Policies, ensuring adherence at all times.
  • Continuously build knowledge across subject areas, developing your profile as a Commissioning Editor.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure flexibility and meet targets.

**Requirements**

  • A relevant academic or working background across disciplines within Medicine and Health.
  • Experience working in academic publishing.
  • Strong organizational skills, efficiency, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and work to deadlines.
  • A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to work cooperatively with local and global colleagues at all levels.
  • A high level of computer literacy, including MS Office, Outlook, and internet browsers.
  • Active interest in open access, open data, and open science, as well as publishing and related matters.
