Deputy Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Engineering Manager to join our dynamic Engineering team at Matchtech Mobility. This role is designed to address the increasing scope and complexity of our projects, requiring a strong leader who can engage in both hands-on design work and leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the leadership of the Engineering team in various capacities, including process enhancements and the adoption of industry standards.
- Take ownership of specific initiatives, such as the implementation of the AS9100 standard and the development of new design processes.
- Conduct 3D CAD design, from initial concept to full-scale production, ensuring the creation of precise engineering drawings and adherence to the Engineering Change Management process.
- Monitor and achieve project benchmarks related to time, cost, quality, and weight, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
- Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders, including senior management, team members, and clients.
- Act in place of the Engineering Manager when necessary, providing leadership and guidance to the team.
- Be prepared for occasional international travel to engage with a diverse client base and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with 3D CAD software, particularly Siemens SolidEdge, is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to production, with a strong focus on quality and delivery.
- A Mechanical Engineering degree or comparable experience, with at least 10 years of industry involvement post-graduation.
- Strong communication abilities, both oral and written, with a collaborative team member mindset.
- Capable of performing under pressure, juggling multiple tasks, and adhering to deadlines, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Prior experience in Aircraft Cabin Interior Engineering would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
