Position: Project Engineer (Water Infrastructure)

Carrington West is seeking to enhance its Delivery team with a skilled Project Engineer or Contracts Engineer for significant projects in the water sector.

This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements.

As a Project Engineer, you will report directly to the Project Manager and play a crucial role in coordinating an efficient and cost-effective strategy for plant design and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely issuance of information for construction, commissioning, and operational readiness in accordance with the Contract Programme.
  • Provide accurate cost data for financial forecasts and assess variations.
  • Maintain project costs within the approved tender or varied allowances.
  • Complete and submit contract reviews and monthly forecasts punctually.
  • Support the Project Management strategy.
  • Contribute to the timely production of Operations and Maintenance manuals.
  • Engage with subcontractors, suppliers, and site management regarding design and procurement challenges.
  • Monitor the performance of subcontractors.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction completion and handover documentation.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development through networking and participation in industry events.
  • Collaborate closely with design teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Contribute to monthly risk and opportunity assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Basic engineering background.
  • Familiarity with various contract conditions, particularly NEC.
  • Engineering or Technical qualification (minimum HNC).
  • Understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes.
