Job Description

Data Engineer Opportunity

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our client's team in Southampton. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in improving the company's use of data, data pipelines, and ultimately, data accuracy, customer satisfaction, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data models, data pipelines, and cloud deployment strategies to optimize data processing and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior management, to design and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Implement process and performance optimization techniques to improve data quality and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with the data team to design and develop data visualizations and reports using SSRS/PowerBI.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of commercial experience in a similar role, with a strong background in Microsoft environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL, TSQL, and Azure Data Factory, with experience in Azure ASQL or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of Data Lake Storage and Databricks, with the ability to interact with other teams and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment and able to adapt to changing priorities.
