Overview

We are seeking a Quarry Supervisor to oversee operations at our Divet Hill Quarry & Asphalt Plant. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Quarry Manager in ensuring the safe and effective management of quarry activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety is paramount; you will conduct risk assessments and health and safety inspections, demonstrating leadership in safety practices.
  • You will be appointed under the Quarry's Regulations to oversee health and safety on-site in the absence of the Manager or Assistant.
  • Your role will encompass administrative tasks, including report writing, record maintenance, and updating the electronic defect database.
  • Efficient planning and organization of work activities will be essential to meet operational goals.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a background in the extractive sector, with a strong emphasis on safety and effective communication skills.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Experience in Mobile/Static plant operation, including a Red/Blue card for wheeled loading shovel operation, along with familiarity in operating mobile and/or static screening plants.
  • Problem Analysis skills to proactively identify issues, gather relevant data, and determine potential causes.
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures, ensuring proper authorization for any changes.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills, with an awareness of the impact of actions on others and consideration for their needs.
  • Detail Handling abilities to manage the documentation and administrative aspects of the role.
  • Planning and Organizing skills to establish effective action plans for achieving objectives.
