Job Summary

The Financial Accountant will play a key role in delivering the preparation and delivery of the Group's external financial reporting, ensuring a robust and controlled environment that supports the delivery of the annual statutory accounts for the group of companies within Calico.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of the Group's external financial reporting, including the preparation of the Group consolidated financial statements.
  • Ensuring that financial controls are embedded across the team, including credit control, VAT, and other taxes.
  • Control account reconciliations completed and any discrepancies investigated and resolved.
  • Production of the quarterly financial returns to the relevant authorities for review.
  • Key contact for the Group's external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process.
  • Calculation and payment of relevant taxes (VAT, Corporation Tax, CIS, PAYE etc).
  • Reviewing and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Develop month end reporting information.

Requirements

  • Experience of producing regulatory reporting and statutory accounts.
  • An understanding of credit control, VAT, and other taxes.
  • An ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with Strong attention to detail.
  • You should be ideally working towards a Professional Accountancy Qualification (or Qualified by Experience).
