Job Title: Java Developer SLG

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Java Developer to join our team at Donato Technologies, Inc. as a Senior Java Developer.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Java Developer to lead the development of our Tax Modernization Program. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated applications that meet business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of tax-related applications using J2EE technologies, including JDBC, JSP, and XML.
  • Develop and mentor staff using various technologies, including Spring, JSON, JavaScript, and JDBC.
  • Develop and review detailed documentation for system and program change requirements, including detailed specifications documents.
  • Assist and provide guidance through all phases of the project management life cycle.
  • Develop unit test plans based on coding changes and user specifications, conduct unit testing, and debugging of all code changes in the development environment.
  • Coordinate the migration of all code changes from the development environment into the user test environment.
  • Assist team members using distributed technologies, including Java, DB2, XML, and XQuery, and ensure that staff members are properly trained and mentored.
  • Provide support as needed for defects and issue resolution, ensuring that defects and issues are addressed promptly based on priority.
  • Facilitate and participate in meetings with ITS and DTF customers.
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with DTF management and users, ITS management, and team members.
Requirements:
  • 8 years of experience with all facets of the software development process, including research, design, programming, testing, and implementation of computer software.
  • 60 months of experience with J2EE technologies, including JDBC, JSP, and XML.
  • 60 months of experience developing, building, and testing Java EE applications using modern IDEs, such as Eclipse, NetBeans, or IntelliJ.
  • 60 months of experience using J2EE frameworks, such as Spring or Struts.
  • 60 months of experience using Application Servers, such as Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, or WebLogic.
  • 60 months of experience writing SQL statements for relational databases.
  • 36 months of experience in messaging technologies, such as MQ, JMS, or Kafka.
  • 60 months of experience in system analysis and design of multitiered transactional systems.
