Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our team at Donato Technologies, Inc. as part of the NYS Tax Modernization Program. This is a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale project that will modernize legacy systems within the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain tax-related applications using Java and J2EE technologies.
  • Collaborate with the project team to design, develop, and test software solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all software solutions meet the required quality and security standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Java and J2EE technologies.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Spring or Struts frameworks.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database design.
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as MQ or JMS.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
