Position Overview

The Infrastructure Technician will play a vital role in supporting the Traffic and Highways Asset team at Vox Network Consultants. This position is essential for maintaining high service standards that enhance the quality of life for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to the Traffic and Highways Asset team, ensuring adherence to statutory regulations and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage procurement activities through the appropriate financial systems, ensuring all purchases align with company regulations.
  • Champion equality and diversity initiatives, actively promoting these values within the community.
  • Uphold health and safety standards, fostering a culture of safety within the workplace.
  • Engage in professional development initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications, ensuring high-quality outputs for project approvals.
  • Conduct public consultations for various projects, ensuring that design specifications meet community needs.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical and committee reports, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all communications.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of operational systems to improve service delivery.
  • Maintain and ensure the functionality of all asset management software, providing necessary data as required.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks within budgetary constraints, including liaising with external contractors.

Required Experience

  • Proficient in using Exor CAD, GIS, and imaging software, with a focus on developing CAD skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with third-party contractors to meet project timelines.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

Contract Details

  • This is an initial ongoing contract with potential for extension.
  • Employment will be on a PAYE basis through an umbrella company.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Salary is negotiable based on experience.
