Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our General Adult Psychiatry team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage new patients referred to the service, including those with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide clinical leadership and consultancy to the team, including support of multidisciplinary team meetings and RAMM meetings.
  • Manage patients within the recovery model, including those with severe mental illness.
  • Work closely with other services and agencies to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of care plans and treatment formulations.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective working relationships with other healthcare professionals.

Person Specification
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
