About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Developer to join our team at the City of Birmingham. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web-based systems and applications that meet the needs of our citizens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and monitor system applications, programs, and databases to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Design, develop, and modify system applications, programs, and databases using various programming languages and technologies.
  • Create and update system documentation and user guides to ensure that users have the necessary information to effectively use our systems.
  • Collaborate with users, management, and technical staff to define the scope and context of application development projects.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new technologies and systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
Requirements
  • Experience developing and designing web, desktop, or mobile application solutions that meet business needs and requirements.
  • Experience developing and designing databases in Microsoft SQL Server or other related database management systems.
  • Experience programming in.Net environment, ASP.NET, C#, or other object-oriented languages.
