Job Title: New Product Introduction Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled New Product Introduction Engineer to join our team at Deep Sea Electronics Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the seamless transition of external designs to our in-house production facility, ensuring that designs are production-ready and suitable for high-volume builds with increasing levels of automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review designs for production suitability and work with external entities to make improvements
  • Follow a defined process and maintain a consistent approach in ERP and eCAD systems
  • Gain a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and review designs for production readiness
  • Work independently on new and existing designs to integrate cost-saving opportunities into analogue, digital, and microcontroller circuits
  • Estimate individual tasks and work packages, contributing to project planning activities and identifying and mitigating areas of risk
  • Maintain high levels of attention to detail and perform administrative activities involved in creating and maintaining BOMs in the company ERP system
  • Contribute to the training and coaching of less experienced and technical colleagues
  • Work with team managers and leaders to progress multiple projects in parallel

Requirements:

  • Basic electronic component and circuit theory
  • Analogue and digital Hardware design
  • EMC Principles
  • Familiar with stage gated / agile development approaches
  • ERP systems with MRP modules
  • Good understanding of SMT, PTH components and PCB assembly process
  • ERP systems and BOM structures
  • Ability to read and translate Schematic capture S/W
  • Experience with Altium
  • Creating component acceptability reports
