Mechanical Engineer

Wärtsilä Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for coordinating design reviews and engineering change management activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate design reviews and engineering change management activities to ensure timely and efficient product development.
- Schedule and track the activities of mechanical department team members to maintain product designs, documentation, and bills of materials.
- Report status on design efforts to department managers and project managers.
- Support external requests for assistance from sales, manufacturing, quality, field installation, and field maintenance organizations.
- Develop systems-level understanding of product design beyond mechanical and thermal aspects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and offer solutions for design issues and risks.
- 7+ years of technical experience, including 3+ years of product-level discipline leadership experience in a commercial product development environment.
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of systems design in the context of outdoor skid-packaged equipment.
- Collaborative leadership skills and experience working with configuration control and engineering change management.
- Excellent written and verbal English and interpersonal skills.
