Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Specialist to join our team at Sussex Partnership Trust. As a CAMHS Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical assessments and treatment plans for children and young people with eating disorders and their families.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including nurses, systemic family therapists, and child psychotherapists, to deliver evidence-based treatment plans. You will also be part of a Trust-wide psychiatrist network, providing opportunities for peer networking and professional development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist clinical assessments and treatment plans for children and young people with eating disorders
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based treatment plans
- Participate in Trust-wide psychiatrist network and contribute to peer networking and professional development
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives
- 4 years at full-time postgraduate training or higher in a relevant specialty
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise
- Excellent knowledge of young people with eating disorders and excellent communication skills
- Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
- Able to make decisions based on evidence and experience
