Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at CV Technical Ltd. As a key member of our production facility, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe operation across people, plant, and process at all times.
- Deliver the daily and weekly production plan, maintaining product quality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure appropriate staffing levels and team skills.
- Lead, manage, coach, and drive the production team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support senior management in developing the business operating plan.
- Cover for the Head of Production as needed.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and liaise with the health and safety team to maintain statutory responsibilities.
- Maintain excellent good manufacturing practice (GMP) standards, aligning with British Retail Consortium (BRC) requirements.
- Deliver the daily production plan and complete shift reports.
- Manage, report, and drive KPIs including safety, quality, throughput, yield, waste, labor effectiveness, and downtime.
- Work with planning and technical teams to ensure order fulfillment while maintaining compliance.
- Motivate, manage, and develop team workers, supporting recruitment and retention.
- Conduct daily maintenance walk-rounds and report issues to the engineering team.
- Support new product development (NPD) and the installation and operation of new equipment and processes.
Requirements:
- Health and safety awareness and management.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Integrity and sound judgment under pressure.
- People management and influencing skills.
- Knowledge of food safety systems and factory standards.
- Knowledge of thermoforming machines is a benefit.
